I don’t use any specific software right now, but many gamers optimize performance with tools like MSI Afterburner, GPU-Z, and HWMonitor to track stats. For your hardware (GTX 970 and FX 6300), consider using AMD Ryzen Master or Intel OptiX for tuning.

They can push the limits, but I’m struggling to stay above 45 fps at times

Truly, no program can enhance game performance. Keep background processes minimal. Maximize overclocking and set suitable configurations. The FX6300 isn’t ideal for gaming, which means it might explain the low frame rates—most issues aren’t solved by random tweaks.

The remaining specifications are unclear. Could you clarify which details you're asking about? And which games are you referring to?

I'm currently using a GPU that's been overclocked.

Press control+Alt+Del to end Task Manager; remove unwanted programs at startup or turn off background services that waste resources. For single-player titles, launch Steam offline with overlays turned off. Remember, adjusting settings makes a big difference.

I really adore AMD but absolutely despise Intel... so I recommend picking the most affordable I5 processor from the 4000 series or getting a G-SYNC display; you’ll need it eventually no matter what.

Gtx 970 with FX 6300, 8 GB Ballistix RAM, 750W power supply, ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Hyper 212 EVO (CPU overclocked to 4.6GHz eliminated all limitations)

This device handles tasks efficiently, so background work is less critical.
