I’m back again, sharing an update. Following everyone’s suggestions, I believe this could be the best move. First, perform a complete reset on my test rig. If performance remains unchanged (I’m running a basic benchmark in Premier to assess), it likely points to a hardware problem. If that doesn’t help, consider replacing the components. Upgrading to an ASUS PRIME H310M-E R2.0 LGA 1151 / Link motherboard would be necessary—though I’ve been told it’s not compatible with any alternatives. For the CPU cooler, keep it quiet! Rock 2 is the way to go. New RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series DDR416GB (2 x 8GB). SSD: Sabrent Rocket Q 500GB NVMe. I’m still exploring other options but haven’t ruled out a new hard drive for video storage. For reference, switching motherboards is mainly about improving airflow in the case. As always, let me know your thoughts! Here’s my current spec list. Intel Core i5-4460S @ 2.90 GHz, GeForce GTX 1070, 8.0 GB DDR3 RAM (1 stock, 1 Hyper X Fury), Kingston SA400S37120G 500W PSU. EDIT: I’m planning to keep the same CPU—though I’m assuming compatibility since I don’t know much about Intel chipsets. Will these two work together?

I’ll stick with the same processor unless it’s not supported; I’m unfamiliar with Intel components, so I’m focusing on the most affordable choice.
Only modifying the motherboard by itself won't boost performance. It's better to upgrade the entire system.
Not suitable. H310 boards are designed for 8000 and 9000 series CPUs. As mentioned before, simply swapping the motherboard while keeping the same CPU won’t enhance performance.
This unit looks great overall, but the airflow and heat management are lacking. Due to these issues and the elevated component temperatures I've noticed, I wouldn't recommend the Q300L. You might consider adding just $5 to $10 for a model with better airflow and cooler operation.
