Hello everyone, welcome! I'm new to these forums and trying to find the right place for my questions. I'm looking for advice on upgrading my current setup for gaming and video editing. Right now I have an AMD FX6300 with a MSI GeForce GTX 960 and a Gigabyte 990x-SLI MOBO. If I want to keep up with modern hardware, I might need a whole new PC. I'm aiming for top-tier performance in games and editing. I was thinking about a Ryzen 3600x with a 2080 TI, but I feel it wouldn't be the best use of my money. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The 3600x and the 2070 super offer excellent value for your investment, and for long-term security, consider the 3700x. For performance upgrades, a powerful air cooler or an AIO is recommended. Make sure you upgrade your motherboard to support these changes. If you aim to maximize efficiency and future-proof your setup, opting for a 3600x paired with an aftermarket cooler and a new PC would be ideal.
