Hey everyone, I was running some tests for a project and found something odd. When I increased the RAM allocated to Minecraft in an Amplified world for version 1.10, my performance actually got worse. With just 1GB, I reached around 61fps minimum, 89 average, and 185 max. Going up to 3GB dropped it to 43fps minimum, 63.8fps average, and 168 max. At 6GB, it fell to 23fps minimum, 54.4fps average, and 108fps max. This is strange—I’m not sure if it’s my setup or something with the game itself. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The issue stems from the game consuming memory with corrupted data.

Consider sticking to the 1GB limit unless testing performance differences. Higher allocations like 3GB or 6GB didn’t slow things down for you. It might just be the resource pack’s design affecting speed. Your 32x32 pack seems fine for your setup.

Sure, I’ll make sure to use your own resource pack at 64x64 and adjust the settings accordingly. You’ve got a 2GB allocation, but it’s limited to 300MB—let me know if you need help optimizing further!

You should test the game with a diamond sword on mojang until it stops being Java. They’re already working on beta 1.7.3.

In typical environments, I use about 3GB, but it consumes more than 1GB alone. No problems at all.

Normal worlds work just fine, boosted kills are great for my FPS servers too, and anything over 9 chunks is fine. Ugh, that ram's acting up.

Seems like it adjusts around 250 to 150, then rises and falls at 40 fps, thanks!

Minecraft on Windows 10 runs entirely in C++ with Direct X 11 support.
