Hello everyone. I’m seeking your thoughts on boosting Windows 7 performance without upgrading hardware or changing the OS format. Based on what I know, improving speed might come from: a) defragmenting the HDD and b) turning off unnecessary applications at startup. How effective could these steps be? Are there other actions you’d recommend that might give better results? Please share your ideas and any details that would help me assess the situation. Thank you!

It makes sense to defrag regularly. Running it in the background every so often helps, and removing unused or unnecessary background apps can boost performance. The effort is well worth it.

Focus on basic fixes like defragmentation and using CCleaner. After handling many slow PCs, I realize hardware limitations often outweigh software upgrades unless the system is already struggling.
