You're experiencing poor frame rates in Space Engineers despite your PC's capabilities. The issue might stem from outdated drivers, insufficient RAM, or GPU limitations. Check for the latest MSI Radeon R9 390X drivers and ensure your system meets the game's minimum requirements. Consider upgrading to a more powerful GPU if needed.

Hmm, do you think you're using your iGPU? You can see this in the Space Engineers interface.

I mean I'm clarifying your question. Could you provide more details?

Have you tried any other games with the integrated graphics in your CPU?

Your integrated graphics handle the visuals, but they don’t directly affect the game itself. They only influence how smoothly and clearly the game runs on your device.

Engineers could unintentionally rely on the weaker integrated graphics instead of the 390X.

I misplaced something, check the menu or confirm the GPU connection instead of the motherboard. Space Engineers operates at a maximum of 60 FPS on my system.

This game performs poorly overall. It's a voxel-based early access title.

I own two 290's and Space Engineers remains quite demanding. It seems the game relies heavily on CPU power due to extensive physics and asteroid encounters. Is it still in beta? If so, expect frequent crashes when using tab-out. If you were playing, consider overclocking or adjusting your view distance.
