Hi, I own a system with a Ryzen 5 7600, an RX 7600 GPU, and a 700W power supply. When I run Spider-Man Miles Morales, my PC starts shutting down after a short while. The CPU gets quite hot during the game, reaching up to 92°C, and under stress testing it hits around 95°C. It doesn’t shut down even at that temperature, and during stress tests the speed remains stable. I switched from a 500W PSU to a 700W one expecting better power delivery, but the problem persists. The GPU stays cool and shows no errors during stress tests. I’ve noticed the CPU consumes about 75W under load in OCCT, while the GPU rarely exceeds 180W. I haven’t seen any overheating issues with another game either. My main concern is why this happens specifically with Spider-Man. Could it be related to high CPU temperatures, insufficient power from my PSU, or a software glitch? Have others experienced similar problems? What steps did you take to resolve it? Might the GPU be the culprit, or could there be a driver issue? Should I consider rolling back my graphics driver? I want to play this game but need some clarification.
Nice details for sure and yes I would roll my drivers back one and see if it helps. (To be honest this is my favorite type of problem. No one has an answer but, it's known.) If not and you also check the event viewer like @strange13930 suggested and there is nothing there. (If the event view is blank then that would be crazy. You should at least see an error 41 or something.) Then I would say it's safe to assume that it is something with the game. It's rare, but it happens.
I didn't do that after uninstalling, but I plan to reinstall it to test the Event Viewer.
Some users on Reddit and Steam mentioned they used an AMD graphics card. One person noted they had the issue on an RTX 4080. I’m downloading the game now, which should take a while since I’m on Wi-Fi... I’ll share updates once I have something.

I’ve received an update, but I didn’t manage to fix it. My first attempt was to roll back the drivers to a stable version from 2024, which didn’t work. Then I ran sfc /scannow and fixed the issue, but restarting the PC still didn’t resolve it. I checked the Event Viewer for an error related to TPM and asked ChatGPT, which suggested restarting the TPM. I did that too, but it didn’t help. Finally, the Event Viewer reported a secure boot problem; I reset Secure Boot to factory settings, applied the BIOS settings, but the computer still shuts down. I’ve tried everything I could think of and am running out of options. I’ll keep this thread open in case someone has a solution or at least offers advice. Maybe I should consider buying a PS5 or just watch someone play it on YouTube instead.
