I've been using Halo Infinite for a few days without any lag issues, except during some matches I played before writing this. Even then, I experienced heavy lag, especially when trying to use voice chat over Discord. After restarting my PC, modem, router, and network devices multiple times, the problem persisted. It's currently making online multiplayer games difficult for me. Usually, a simple reboot resolves the issue, which I rarely face. If that doesn't help, what other options do I have? The latest speedtest.net results at the time of posting show: Ping 16ms, download 249.85 Mbps, upload 11.89 Mbps.

Rebooting shouldn’t have any affect on traditional lag, as that is a ping and server thing and doesn’t even happen in your house. If a reboot fixes slowdowns it means you’ve had some sort of problem for some time that acts like lag but isn’t.

That’s why sometimes lag disappears one day and then returns the next, making it frustrating to play online. Would really love a solution.
