I’ve experienced issues with my PC installing drivers, especially network adapters recently. NordVPN didn’t work due to driver problems, and Hamachi also failed but wasn’t a big deal. Yesterday I updated the driver and it stopped functioning. I’ve tried all possible solutions—reinstalling old drivers, downloading from the motherboard’s specs on another machine, and even using Driver Easy. The error message says “The Realtek Network controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled, Please Plug the Cable.” I’ve also tested everything in safe mode and used a tool called Driver Easy, which didn’t help much. My system runs Windows 10 Pro (version 1803) with a Gigabyte 970A-UD3P motherboard, a Realtek PCIe GBE network adapter. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be appreciated.

Have you attempted to uninstall all drivers, including those from Device Manager, and then restarted your system? It seems likely that using the incorrect driver for the wrong adapter model can cause issues.

He might be correct, yet think about purchasing a budget PCIe network card. Occasionally the LAN controller could simply stop working. Initially – attempt to start a live Ubuntu installation and verify functionality.
