I recently upgraded my computer and faced several problems with the operating system, trying to reinstall it. The first attempt failed, leaving me unable to log in or perform any tasks. I attempted to rebuild my ISO file but continue encountering this issue when trying to install: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can not be installed on GPT disks." This error wasn’t present before the initial installation, making it hard to determine what went wrong. Whenever I try to boot Windows from the previous setup, I either see a blue screen or receive an error prompting a restart. It’s been my first time experiencing these problems, so I’m quite puzzled about the cause.

You're not alone—this can be confusing. Let me help clarify. What exactly are you trying to do?

All the disks are displaying errors, so delete each partition one by one.

During installation, you’ll see your available partitions. Just remove the existing ones—whether they’re hard drives or SSDs—and then set up a fresh partition or proceed to the next step.

Are you certain about removing the OEM partition and the thumb drive ISO? Just checking to confirm.

Avoid handling the USB device. Remove all partitions from the hard disk, then select New on the storage device.

You removed both drives and tried to create a new one, but the issue persists with the same error and no partition appears. The error code 0xc4c8a910 is still being reported.
