Just like individuals, systems differ. Boosting performance isn't always assured.

The CPU can only handle speeds up to 2933 MHz, which means anything higher requires an overclock of the memory controller. This explains why Tofu suggested raising the CPU's voltage. It can sometimes assist the memory controller in managing the increased frequency.

If you set it to 2666mhz, you might need to adjust the voltages and enable XMP. Don’t worry, it’s normal to feel nervous about this kind of setup—it’s just your first real project.

The term imc exists and its performance can differ. Let’s tackle it step by step. Starting with 2933.

At the 2666 frequency I’d allow the board to set the timing. Keep DOCP/XMP in auto or disabled mode. Make sure to raise the memory voltage to 1.35v.
