Encountering issues with configuring my RAM setup.
Hello everyone. I hope everything is okay and I need your help with this issue. I'm new to overclocking, so please let me know. I just bought these RAM sticks (CMT16GX4M2C3200C16) and installed them on my motherboard (B450M Steel Legend Bios). The website says they're compatible with my motherboard. I set the BIOS to 2933MHz because my CPU is a Ryzen 5 2600, which only supports up to that speed. I increased the voltage to 1.35V as recommended. Now I'm experiencing random crashes—different BSODs and apps crashing without any warning. I've run stress tests and haven't seen any errors. I'm not sure what to do and my English isn't great. Can anyone assist me?
Rams are located on slots 2 and 4. When I turn on XMP, the system won't start immediately—it will power up three times before the fourth attempt, then it will boot using the RAM at 2133MHz.
activate XMP protocol, adjust frequency manually to 2933 and set DRAM voltage to 1.35 for stable operation.
I'll wait a few hours to check for any issues. I can handle long periods without problems.
It was stable for a day before it suddenly crashed again with another BSOD. This occurred while I was playing LoL with friends. I also played three hours of DOOM 2016 on ultra/nightmare settings without any crashes. I’m not sure if the issue is related to the game, but I had random crashes earlier when coding or watching videos. I’m considering using Ryzen Calculator to see if it helps, though I’m not sure if adjusting RAM speeds will make a difference.
I just replaced my RAM modules, cleaned them with rubbing alcohol, allowed them to dry, and installed them back into slots A2 and B2. So far in three days there have been no crashes. I think it worked, even though the sticks were new. No complaints about the outcome. Thanks a lot!
