Hey, your experience sounds a bit odd. After getting Doom Eternal running smoothly at high frame rates initially, lowering the settings in VR dropped it to around 25 FPS. You've tried several fixes—adjusting settings, closing background apps, restarting, and even resetting defaults—but still facing performance issues. Your hardware specs seem solid (Ryzen 7 3700X, 16GB RAM), but you're seeing low CPU/GPU usage while the game runs at 30-40% and using just 4GB RAM. It’s possible the game is struggling with resource management or background processes. Have you checked for updates, or are there any recent changes in your system? Let me know if you want more tips!

The GPU utilization is insufficient. Although the 380X isn't a high-power machine anymore (it still outperforms buying new), D:E isn't generating enough load to show low usage. Consider reinstalling the AMD driver. Remove it first using DDU.

The update and reboot resolved the issue, achieving 72fps on high settings.
