Hello everyone, the main point here is that this is the first desktop I've assembled in about a decade. Admitting it might sound a bit old-school, but everything is functioning well except for the Ethernet connection. I'm using a Gigabyte Aorus X570 Elite with a Wi-Fi motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. The built-in Wi-Fi is performing perfectly, but I'm struggling to get the onboard Ethernet to connect. I've checked all the usual settings and resources online, but nothing seems to help. I even created a support ticket on Gigabyte's site and followed their instructions, which suggested sending it back. While I was away, I purchased a USB 3.0 Ethernet adapter. Now I'm starting to suspect the problem isn't with the hardware itself—surprisingly, the USB adapter also won't connect to the internet. I've tested different cables and bypassed my Ethernet switch, even plugging directly into the modem. The system lights are working as expected, and the onboard Wi-Fi is fine, but it still can't reach the internet. The Windows diagnostic tool indicates both adapters lack a valid IP address. I'm still puzzled, but at least I have Wi-Fi available right now. Appreciate any suggestions you might have.

Have you attempted to restart the modem or router? It appears the issue lies with it not providing an address, not the PC.

I checked all possible solutions—BIOS updates, drivers, even almost clearing the windows. It turns out these problems often come down to simple fixes. This update resolved the USB ethernet adapter issue and also fixed the onboard Ethernet port problem. Thanks!
