I was attempting to run a program on my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS using WINE Software, but I keep getting this message: "00a5:err:msi:ACTION_CallDllFunction failed to load dll L"C:\\users\\meet\\Temp\\msi3c04.tmp" (193). It’s confusing and makes it hard to understand what’s happening. You mentioned you’re not familiar with these issues, so this might help clarify things. The error suggests a problem loading a DLL file during installation, which usually means the required Windows component isn’t installed or the path is incorrect. After the failure, the install process stops abruptly. It could also mean that the system needs to be configured properly for WINE. If you’re still stuck, let me know and we can go through it step by step.

Which installation program are you attempting? Verify its compatibility on winehq. A resolution exists for at least one of those issues on the official Ubuntu forums: https://askubuntu.com/questions/841847/m...led#992215

I'm setting up ETABS for installation. It isn't officially recognized by some users in WINE, but I'm proceeding with the attempt.

I fixed most of the issues but there are still a few remaining. Could you clarify what you meant by this? I need more context to provide a helpful translation or explanation.

These seem to be issues during execution, likely due to incompatibility. It might just be a problem with the setup. Sorry.

I don't have a specific distribution to mention, but I'm running a particular version of Wine. Let me know if you'd like details about the OS or software I'm using!
