Encountered a recurring issue after the Windows update.
Windows asked for an update before turning off, I agreed and after about 25% completion it restarted into the auto repair screen. No matter what I tried, it still kept booting into auto repair. Startup repair failed, safe mode reset back to the auto repair screen. I don’t have a restoration point. If I click System Image Recovery, it lets me search for installation media. I noticed all the drive letters look different. Also, in the command prompt it starts as X:\windows\system32> instead of C:\—maybe that’s the boot drive, but it’s a 500MB empty partition. In C:\ I see a folder called windows.old that wasn’t there before.
