Earlier today I played Space Marine 2 and my screen went black while I could still hear in-game sounds. After restarting my PC, the same happened—even when loading just the title screen. I encountered a similar problem with demanding games, especially Bannerlord 2, which worked until I loaded into a campaign. While writing this, it also "crashed" without any game running, and the GPU displayed two red lights. Please let me know if you need more details.

You should return the card through the RMA process. Do you have an alternative or someone who might lend it for testing?

I resolved it by following these steps: first, I took out the power supply cables connected to the GPU and reinserted them. Then, I cleared all the dust from the entire PC, as it was especially heavy around the power supply. Finally, I made sure every cable was properly seated, which allowed me to open SM2 and Bannerlord2 without issues so far. It looks like this fix was unnecessary.
