About two months back, I relied on DXTory for my YouTube channel. Everything went smoothly—I could capture any game in 1080p at 60 frames per second. Mostly I filmed Team Fortress 2, Minecraft, CSGO, and a few others. All recordings stayed consistent at 1080p 60fps. One day, FPS dropped suddenly to just 25 across all games and codecs. I tried MagicYuv and various UtVideo formats, but the issue persisted. Eventually, I reinstalled DXTory repeatedly without improvement, so I switched to Bandicam for recording. Remember, I saved my video files directly from the hard drive without needing an external USB or extra drive. My system specs are: Core i7 4790K @4.00 GHz, AMD R9 270X, 1TB HDD at 7200 RPM, Asus Maximus VI motherboard, 16GB DDR3 RAM, Corsair VS650 power supply. The challenge now is: how can I restore the original performance—1080p at 60fps without the low frame rate?

It seems you're asking about configuring your FPS cap in DXTory and recording with OBS. Make sure the necessary settings file exists and check if OBS is working properly for capturing your stream.

You're using just one storage drive, which means writing and reading happen together. This can lead to significant slowdowns, particularly with a 7200 RPM HDD. It might be better to switch to an SSD for your operating system and games, keeping the HDD only for backups.

This could relate to your hard drive performance.
