Encounter difficulties with the firmware update process.
Tried sharing this on Corsair forums, Reddit, and the help section. Also sent a support ticket but didn<|pad|> to get no reply. Moved my PC into a new case, did a fresh format and still face issues updating Commander Core/ICUE. Every time I try from a clean install, it fails with an error and won’t let me proceed. I’ve done: deleting data from appdata, regedit, cccleaner, clean install; unplugged fans except the two with my H100i capellix; uninstalled RGB software; changed USB 2.0 plugs (latest and legacy Icue versions). Still stuck, no control over fans or settings. Some guidance would be great. Tldr: firmware update failed, can’t manage AIO or fans.
The error code isn't specified. The instructions suggest checking a small icon with an "I" and examining the three dots for more information.
No error code was detected. The first image I shared triggers the prompt immediately after opening the icon. Updating now shows the next picture. Trying "retry" on the second image repeatedly displays the same message until I close it. The 'i' is a notification stating "update is available." The three dots offer two choices: one labeled "force update" which is hidden, and another labeled "browse for firmware," which searches from my device but I don’t have the standalone file.
Well . That’s Corsair being stupid. With no suggestion on even where to look in at something of a loss. For all I know this is an intentional software block by Corsair. RGB in general is famous for predatory crap like that. And Corsair won’t say anything? Extra obnoxious. How long have you been waiting on a response?
It's been about 5 days since i submitted the ticket and still nothing yet. I was hopeful on the corsairs subreddit here: https://old.reddit.com/r/Corsair/comment...questions/ since it seems to be operated by corsair tech support and it's refreshed weekly but nothing yet. Had to repost it even since they refresh it weekly. However to be fair nobody seems to have gotten a response in "this weeks" thread yet.
Hello! I noticed you're experiencing the same "loading error" after updating your driver, and the close button isn't working. Let me see if I can help you find a solution.
I have this file ready. If I finish the task on the icon, I can restore it later, though I’m still unable to update. I’ll try downloading the software again.
