Ethernet offers very little data loss. I wouldn't play games on wireless, and most of you here agree. It's quite unreliable. Switching to Ethernet gives a much smoother experience—it's very dependable and you won't want to go back.

What router is connected and its distance from you? What speed are you using? If your internet is slow, Ethernet might be better; otherwise, a powerline adapter could work. Your wireless adapter works on two bands, but an older router won’t help much. Have you tried downloading the latest updates?

Uncertain about checking your bandwidth... I haven't attempted a reinstall.

This applies specifically to CS:GO. I've checked other servers for latency changes as well.

I'm asking about your internet connection's speed in megabits per second. If none of the other options work, try downloading it once more to check if it improves.

I also used wireless before, but switching to an Ethernet cable made all my issues vanish. It’s definitely a good choice.

I know for League of Legends there's a way to check for packet loss (basically bad connection route choosing which is why services like WTFast work, sometimes) Maybe you could find a packet analyzer for CS:GO EDIT: For the love of god use Ethernet. My Swedish friend went from 2down/.5up on wireless to 50down/15up on wired (It's that AMD CPU scrub can't game on AMD buy Intel)
