Check your setup and try swapping the RAM sticks carefully. Make sure you move the stick from slot 3 to slot 2, then test your monitor again. If it still doesn’t turn on, there might be an issue with the RAM placement or compatibility.

In MSI BIOS RAM lined unlinked try to switch to unlinked before ram swap then set ram to 2 and 4 use X.M.P then after reboot change unlinked to linked and verify it works

I'll attempt to disable the RAM timing mode, focusing only on changes related to link/unlink settings and ensuring nothing else is affected.

Bad news slot 1 and 2 aren't compatible with just one stick. Changing from slot 2 to slot 1 caused my RAM stick to drop into a half-full glass of water. I used a paper towel to dry it, but I'm unsure if that will help. Should I risk damaging my mobile by trying to reinstall it?

Sure, you can try using a hair dryer to gently dry the RAM stick. Alternatively, you could leave it on the heater for a short time, but that might not be ideal. Regarding your plan to test the 1333 DDR3 RAM from 2008, it’s unlikely the issue lies with the RAM itself—consider checking connections and power supply stability first.

I'll wait until tomorrow around 12-14 hours, that should be sufficient.

I just tested my old 2x4 RAM sticks to check if they were damaged. When the issue occurred, it was only on slots 3 and 4 didn’t work with (2:4, 1:3, 1:3). I replaced the 2x8 sticks with 3 and 4, thinking maybe the motherboard was faulty or there were wrong BIOS settings.

From my experience with MSI motherboards, here are the steps I suggest: 1- Disconnect your PC from any power source and all external connections, then wait 5 minutes. 2- Remove the BIOS battery and let the battery compartment fall shut for about 1 minute. 3- Put the battery back in and power on your computer. This approach has helped me multiple times across various systems. Best regards
