These consoles run on Power PC architecture and offer greater performance compared to the Wii (which also uses Power PC). Running Xbox 360/PS3 demands more power than we currently possess. The Wii U would be even more challenging, being another Power PC device and more capable than those two. We’re likely to see PS4/Xbox One emulators before these three systems become mainstream. Once they gain access, emulators should follow shortly.
The AMD 7000 series GPU is semi-custom, built for x86, featuring an AMD 8320 running at less than half speed with integrated 7790/7770 chips. Only six cores are available to developers via the SDK. The main distinction lies in unified RAM, which can be managed through software solutions. DirectX 11.2 supports memory tiling and Mantle also does. See the Dice/Mantle presentation for more details.
