I haven’t managed to recreate the MGS3 experience recently—your screen speed is around 4 fps on press start, and ZOE2 requires speedhacks which don’t keep it stable. I haven’t found a PS2 title that runs perfectly at 100% without those tricks.

Someone else ran a test earlier. Check the link for details.

The only evidence I'm seeing is one single on rails shooter, which isn't much

I can experience moments where I'm blind, and you have an eye patch on the Snake's face, but MGS2, Shadow of the Collossus, Onimusha, and Gran Turismo 4 are all challenging games to play. Despite that, he managed to run them smoothly at solid 60FPS.

He mentioned the MGS2 video on his PS2 console, likely proving he had the system and wasn't pirating or illegally getting BIOS files. I only see images of game boxes, not seeing the actual games running in the emulator.

They also include frame rate indicators in the pictures to demonstrate performance.

I know right now the program is running ZOE2 and it usually stays around 60, but sometimes it drops down to the 40s for a brief moment. That’s something I experience occasionally, especially when low-level speed hacks are active. The render resolution tends to be around 3000X2700.

I could possibly get PCSX2 installed and test the performance, since I have the same CPU as him but a quicker GPU—much faster than his.

Just finished playing Shadow of the Colossus and it didn’t look good. I had to stop it right away; everything slowed down significantly. Edit - 3 times the native resolution seems to be my limit, I can keep it at 60 and even then it drops to 54 fps.
