I haven't tried it before, but I believe it's a tool to start games on your emulators with SteamOS support.

Sure, I understand you're curious about the experience. Would you like to know how it compares to using the emulators individually?

it's merely a tool that simplifies arranging emulators on the Steam Deck, making setup much smoother once you're inside a game. The performance of emulation remains unchanged by anything the emudeck can do, apart from the standard configuration settings you already have. Speaking of which, getting things ready is likely the toughest part of emulating on such a device, so this could really help—or it might be misleading with its delayed update announcements.

Sure, the updates can sometimes cause issues, which makes me hesitant. I remember at least one such update, but I’m not sure and prefer avoiding any risks just in case everything works smoothly from the start.

The issue is that when updates are released to address problems affecting you, you often remain waiting until they introduce something new for early access. I’d interpret this more favorably, though the releases on GitHub appear largely inactive—only one in 2023 and none in 2024 so far.
