Hey everyone, so my little sister got some downloads that aren’t very easy to use. One of them is called Taplika, which shows up in Chrome when you open it. There’s stuff there—like Sync Folder and MyPC Backup—that I don’t remember if they were already on the computer. I also have a laptop with Windows Defender installed. Can someone help me figure out what these are?

Save the MBAM or attempt to remove whatever from the control panel.

Start by uninstalling all installed software and removing any extensions or add-ons you don’t recognize or trust. Next, follow flighterluid’s advice and install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then run a comprehensive scan. (Note: This may take several hours.)

I take action when my sister causes issues. Also, installing Avast makes sense. Windows Defender isn't great.

To handle this manually, launch the Task Manager, use MSconfig to force stop the applications, and prevent them from starting automatically. Alternatively, consider using tools like Malwarebytes for assistance.

This is indeed a very solid suggestion.
