Good morning everyone. I’m facing an issue with my Outlook account. After opening it, every new email I haven’t opened suddenly appears and gets marked as read. There’s no rule configured for this account. I’ve tried adjusting the visualization settings, using safe mode, changing preferences to open in a different folder, but the problem continues. My boss has told me not to run any software repair from the control panel. I’m feeling confused.

It seems you're asking about how Outlook handles marking emails as read. Are you referring to the default behavior of opening unread emails in separate windows or checking if the 'Mark All as Read' option is available? Also, would you like to know whether marking everything as read is possible by default? If the settings are unclear, moving the email to a new profile might be the fastest solution.

Version 2019 sets all emails to read-only once opened, keeping the last received message closed. Marking everything as read isn't active for this profile. I recommend the new profile, though the bossman is still unsure.
