Steam releases often offer discounts during expansions, giving you more opportunities. I’m interested in grabbing it too, yet I’m also looking for an affordable flight stick. This makes the starting point a bit more challenging right now.

I think it's worth checking. The throttle seems a bit weak and plastic-like. I've seen the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X with a separate throttle, and it offers good value for the price. You can find more details here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...-_-Product

The throttle works fine. Hotas looks great, though the Logi feels very affordable. I'm using a Saitek X52, which is a bit beyond your budget, haha.
