Certainly, you can keep the Windows disks and simply reinstall them onto the formatted storage.

It might work, though you likely still have your Windows key. With the disk, you can also reinstall it.

Gather a bootable Windows installation media, erase the storage device. Restore Windows using the identical license key, reinstall drivers, and that's it. Note that formatting clears everything, but data remains on the drive. Caution: Simply formatting doesn't completely destroy all information—data stays accessible. Be careful; even a clean format leaves risks of identity theft and other issues if you sell the computer.
