Do you have a method to erase all data from your SSD and HDD, removing even Windows, so you can install a fresh clean Windows system in your new M.2 slot? Thanks, Rick Schroemges

When you reuse drives, you can format them during installation. Choose "custom" when asked about the installation method, and open a small window to add or remove partitions or format drives—I usually prefer that part.

Launch the Windows installer, then proceed without choosing a drive—just let it overwrite your current installation. You can format the other drive before or after reinstalling Windows.

You can adjust the drive settings and delete partitions directly within the Windows installer during installation. No prior steps required.

Yes, I'm using a computer with SSD and HDD storage. These drives hold a lot of information. You're asking about formatting them—do you have anything unique stored on these disks? I don't see much interesting media like photos, videos, or music. It seems formatting all the drives is something you'd consider, especially if any data gets lost.

I mainly play games, so those files aren't really crucial.

You don’t have to use your old PC, just follow the Windows installation steps and then format both drives. Choose the M.2 slot, and confirm that everything is completely erased.

Don't stress about setting up a new system; it's unnecessary. The system will load quickly using your existing SSD, making it ideal for installing games. You can run your new SSD for gaming and likely perform better than using it for the operating system. You'll be able to boot from the same SSD on new hardware without any issues. Plus, you won't need to reinstall games.

You're looking to start fresh with a brand-new Windows setup due to issues with the current version. That means a completely clean installation is what you need.

Sure, enjoy your hobby freely—formatting isn’t necessary. Good luck! Others might already know how to handle it.
