Hi, your temperatures are within a normal range. At idle, 40-55°C is typical, and under load reaching around 67°C is also expected. The cooler upgrade didn’t cause overheating, which suggests the issue might be related to the motherboard or BIOS settings rather than the cooling hardware itself. Since you’re not overclocking, it’s likely the ASUS board is applying voltage too high at stock configurations. Checking the DIGI+ VRM and TurboV Evo settings could help fine-tune power delivery and frequency control.

No, I am not using a high power profile in Windows.

Likely the reason for elevated idle temperatures is the continuous high power usage. Intensive performance settings maintain the CPU running at full speed, or close to it, requiring higher voltage and consuming more energy when not actively processing tasks. During periods of inactivity, the CPU can reduce its clock speed instead.

Great, I managed to fix it. The temperatures have dropped to 32 degrees now.

Your PC runs smoothly at high performance without reaching extremely low idle temperatures (27-30°C depending on core count) even at around 800rpm fan speed. With a 10700K processor, the AI suite available in the BIOS can handle tasks efficiently. The only real advantage is the ability to update the BIOS, which is quite useful. Otherwise, it doesn’t seem to offer much additional benefit.

TurboV has adjusted your CPU to run all cores at maximum speed. This applies the 51 multiplier even if only some cores are active. It’s an overclock relative to the standard Intel settings for the 10700K model. No need to lower your processor performance. To cut energy use, adjust the BIOS and turn on low-power C states. Idle cores will be removed from the clock and voltage when in the low-power C7 mode. You can achieve both speed and efficiency together.
