Over the last fortnight, I’ve experienced significantly elevated CPU activity while gaming. This has resulted in my GPU only reaching 30% of its capacity. Initially, opening Task Manager would momentarily freeze, displaying a process labeled “System Interrupts” consuming 100% of the CPU. Following a second or so, the list of processes would return to normal, with "System Interrupts" dropping back down to approximately 2% usage. I hadn’t encountered this issue previously, roughly two weeks prior.

High CPU utilization often stems from outdated drivers, resource-intensive background applications, or inactive devices that can be disabled. Windows 10 frequently includes numerous applications, and disabling those you don't utilize is advisable.

Listing your specifications may assist in identifying other potential issues, but the above causes are more probable.

Resolution: System Interrupts High CPU Usage

System Interrupts is a standard Windows component, although it appears as a process within Task Manager, it isn’t a conventional application.

Over the last fortnight, what developments have occurred?
Could it be malicious software or a computer virus?
Maybe a Windows update was installed?
Does the task manager reveal an application consuming excessive processor resources?
If you are unable to determine the cause,
Employ system restore to revert your computer to its state from two weeks prior.

Reflecting on this, it’s not solely related to gaming. I’m observing consistent 100% CPU utilization even with modest processor demands. Within the Task Manager, the listed processes don't collectively account for this full load, leaving me uncertain about the source of the remaining usage. This isn’t indicative of traditional malware—scans with Malwarebytes, Bitdefender, and HitmanPro yielded no results. A Windows update might be responsible, but I am unable to remove the potentially problematic updates due to their installation timestamps. The following updates were installed around the onset of this issue:

That doesn’t appear enjoyable; attempt to execute BurninTest utilizing the CPU, RAM, GPU, and observe for any resulting errors.
