Are you maybe able to locate an antenna on the garage-door part and maybe move that to a 'better' location? (or is that all built in to one unit?)

You might want to verify if the computers and garage door share the same phase or leg in your panel. Interference could be minimized on the same phase, though I suspect it's more about proximity. Garage door antennas and shielding tend to be weak, so placing the EMI sources directly above them is likely the issue. A broad ground plane would probably help, similar to your aluminum foil concept.

I've tested without the monitor, but nothing changed. I plan to isolate variables on a chart this weekend before trying the aluminum foil shield. Running an extension cord to the opener to use a different outlet or circuit seems worth a try. At first I considered an antenna extension, but if RF noise is present, a better antenna might actually capture more of it.

Last week I attached a piece of wire to the stock antenna, ending with bare copper (9.81cm should be suitable for a 315Mhz 1/4 wave antenna) at the front of the garage as a test to check if there was any improvement before soldering shielded coax to the controller board. The results were no change. I think the interference is too strong, possibly masking everything else, including the control board itself. Sellinger a new connection might not fix the problem and could even damage it.
