They mentioned the "WoW Killer." It seems another MMORPG fell short and had to switch to free-to-play, wouldn't you think? More info here: http://www.pcgamer.com/elder-scrolls-onl...y-rumours/
It's unclear if anyone labeled this game a "WoW Killer." When everyone experienced the beta, they understood it would be quite average. Still, making it free-to-play shouldn't come as a surprise.
They believed it would be a huge success, reaching millions in sales and saving World of Warcraft from a slow decline.
Wasn't anticipating success because of the cost. Will look into it later, but won't invest any funds right now.
Haha, perhaps they finally understood they messed up with the game's pricing. I might try playing it again when it switches to free-to-play.
It was a poor experience because it didn’t meet expectations despite its appealing appearance.
Wait... it seems to be F2P? I'm not concerned about what others think. I really liked the beta, but the 15$ monthly fee made it unaffordable when it launched. I'll be happy with this update. It wasn't enough for free players either. I'll enjoy it just as much as I do for SWTOR.
It's interesting how WoW remains popular despite changing times. Many people discovered its value during early free trials, even if they weren't fully aware of its strengths then.
Don't be overly critical. What we observed might have been possible.
