I chose to revisit ESO today and downloaded the game with all options set to their highest levels without any problems. I wanted to turn on Nvidia surround for multi-monitor support, so I closed the application and adjusted the Surround settings. When I launched the game, the performance was extremely poor regardless of whether I used minimum or maximum settings. I also experimented with full screen and windowed modes, with VSync both enabled and disabled. Interestingly, when another program like Firefox or Windows Explorer is open in front of ESO, the frame rate spikes to 60+ FPS even at ultra settings. The game crashes immediately once I switch ESO to the active window. I changed VSync on and off and resized the window in both modes, but it only worked when another window was above it. I attempted a new download and installation on two different drives, but it didn’t help. Any suggestions? My system specs are: i7 4790k, Gigabyte GA-H97N-WIFI, 8GB RAM, PNY 1600Mhz Nvidia GTX 980, Corsair 250D x2, 128Gb SSD in RAID 0, external WD 2TB, Thermaltake 750 Corsair H100i, Razer Black Widow, Razer Mamba, and Logitech 5.1 with Windows 10.

It suggests you can view everything on all screens without relying on Surround, possibly resolving your problem.

Rarely do most titles appear excellent with three monitors, offering a completely new perspective once your extra screens are added.
