Your Ryzen 7 1700 has 8 cores and 8 threads, so the CPUZ listing should reflect that. Disabling SMT might affect performance, but it shouldn't change the core count shown. Check your BIOS settings or system info to confirm the actual number of processors.

They're correct, but it will be named SMT in your bios.

The review mentions enabling a feature, specifically "SMT mode" which should be changed to "Enabled".

Intel refers to their SMT approach as Hyper Threading, while AMD describes theirs as Simultaneous Multi-Threading.
