Hey there, I understand there are many discussions about eGPUs on laptops, so please forgive if this was already asked. As a project, I aim to transform an Asus N76VB into something different. After watching Linus's videos about the "beast" setup, I began searching for alternatives and stumbled upon something at AliExpress: http://s.aliexpress.com/qQRbeUZj. It’s much more affordable, so anyone, do you think it’s a solid choice? Best regards, Dick

It might be possible, though the USB speed is unclear...

We only have a USB connection that isn't sufficient for any meaningful GPU performance.

It seems the only available method is via USB. The speed of regular USB is unimportant; it’s essentially just one channel, though.

It connects via USB bus and bandwidth, which is a common setup for miners. Bandwidth isn't a big concern here, and USB works well for this purpose.

It transforms PCIe connections into USB ports by removing the necessary integrated circuits and using software or hardware adapters to bridge the interfaces.
