Hey there! I'm facing some tough issues with iommu groups, stubborn Nvidia drivers refusing to release my secondary GPU, and a QEMU setup that actually boots. The Windows installation DVD won't start no matter what firmware I pick—besides the BIOS, which is just fine. I've gone through the shell manually, tried FS1, and checked all the EFI files, but whenever I press any key to boot the DVD I end up stuck on a splash screen. Anyone have any tips or experience with this? I was inspired by Linus's setup where he managed multiple PCs from one VM to troubleshoot things.

Did you verify the boot sequence in the VM settings? The version mentioned is 6.2.3 from the guide. If the boot device isn't chosen, the system will use EFI Shell by default.
