Editor facing issues with Mac and PC compatibility problems
I really like the Mac OS UI, but it only works on certain devices and I prefer Final Cut Pro because of a one-time fee. The Prime plan is a monthly charge, which isn’t ideal for me. Apple doesn’t let Mac run on PCs, though I can jailbreak it—I just don’t want to do that. How many of you share the same thoughts? Give a thumbs up!
Grab a sleek top-end MacBook Pro; I’m likely to own a next-gen 15" Retina Pro soon. I’m really pleased with Adobe CC and like it in certain aspects compared to FCX.
Agreed. Yet one of the key factors apple uses to achieve such a swift and streamlined OS is its ability to function efficiently on limited hardware. This allows precise optimization tailored specifically for their devices. I suspect that if they invested equally in making MacOS compatible across all systems, it would lose much of its refined performance. At that stage, switching to Windows might be the only viable option. Haha—just kidding! You'd need to really mess with an OS to ruin it too badly.
The premiere pro lacks certain functionalities; one notable improvement is the color correction feature I appreciated in the cloud version.
I think it’s better to look elsewhere for a laptop with a solid metal build, a high-resolution screen, long battery life, a PCI-E SSD, powerful processor, dedicated graphics, and a thin design. At that price point, you’ll get similar quality to any premium ultrabook from brands like Dell, Acer, Asus, or Mac. Most of them fall short compared to the MacBook experience, and saving money with OSX adds even more value.
This would be ideal in an ideal scenario, yet currently I don’t see any single open-source tool that meets the criteria (Blender works, but others fall short).
It seems you're referring to Adobe SpeedGrade and possibly color correction tools for Premiere Pro. You might be thinking about the many plugins available for enhancing video editing.
