What is the issue with using overclocked GTX cards in Premiere Pro and video editing software? Is it safe or not? I think it might be a misunderstanding.

Video editing and rendering mostly use the cpu. There are a few things that will use the gpu for a short time. If you overclock, no need to worry. I have overclocked 980tis in SLI theres not much performance gain in video editing since all of my editing uses CPU since I have no CUDA accelerated effects
