Evening, I enjoy the game. It's been a while since we last played together—almost two years. On my end, I'm experiencing some odd errors. Let's look at the basics: i7 10700K running at 4.8GHz, 32GB RAM, an M.2 drive with Eco mode, 6GB of 1660TI (only the game needs 4GB), Windows 11, and a resolution of 2560×1440. When I set everything to high, I can play at around 30FPS with smooth performance—building and chopping trees works well. But when I start streaming, the game drops significantly, lagging to just 12FPS. OBS is running in the background, but streaming via live feed causes even worse issues. I've tried various settings, even at the lowest resolution of 500x720, but the lag remains. Once I stop streaming, everything returns to normal.

Have you explored using NVENC? If adjusting game settings doesn't improve your FPS, the game might be poorly optimized.

Used NVENC consistently, as I say the game runs smoothly until I click live, after which it drops sharply with alarming FPS and even at the lowest settings. I also messaged the developers, but haven’t received a response. A game I can enjoy without streaming.

It’s not ideal to rely solely on 30fps across all configurations. Switching to CPU encoding can change the experience.

The game doesn't rely heavily on the GPU, even when running at high settings. It works well with OBS in the background and doesn't cause issues during streaming. CPU encoding also performs okay. When streaming with lag, overlays stay smooth, but lag appears during live streams while offline runs are stable. Check out my short clip video here: Spoiler https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1257203017

Having software running in the background doesn't matter—it just restarts what's already on your screen. Streaming implies encoding and transmission. This seems specific to the game, likely fixed by updating the game or GPU driver rather than adjusting settings.

Ensuring your drivers are current is key, and finding the optimal setup for both streaming and gaming requires balancing performance and stability.

Reduce the volume on both sides. Nothing else remains.
