I own more than 16 units of 16GB DDR3 sticks, all ECC type. Are these compatible with standard boards? The RAM model is KVR16LR11D4/16. I don’t see any practical use for them and they’re sitting unused. Do you think they might still have value? If so, I’d appreciate some advice on selling them.
Unbuffered ECC functions on standard DDR3 boards without any ECC activity. Registered ECC is not supported.
Only recognized RAM models work with specific motherboards featuring compatible chipsets or processors. The x58 board doesn’t indicate support for registered RAM, and standard desktop CPUs generally lack this capability.
