MB: Asus TUF Gaming X570
OS: Windows 10
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
GPU: MSI Radeon RX5700 XT Mech OC
RAM: Patriot Viper 4 Blackout Series DDR4 16GB 3200MHz

I want to begin by mentioning that I've attempted all the solutions suggested on the Easy Anti Cheat site, even performing a complete reset of my OS and storage devices three times. Every system component has been thoroughly updated—BIOS, drivers, operating system, etc.—and I believe I’ve done everything possible.

The turning point came when I realized the issue wasn’t just with Pavlov VR loading problems. After downloading Back 4 Blood via Gamepass, I encountered an error stating "EAC not installed." Since it’s a GPU-based game, these files are quite challenging to access. I tried reinstalling EAC by opening the Pavlov folder, but the window remains unresponsive, showing no errors except a brief pop-up in the taskbar.

I’m seeking guidance and hope someone can assist. I’ve been searching online and seem to be the only one facing this exact issue. All the advice I find points to the same problems, especially with EAC-related games. Half Life: Alex is running without issues.

Please help me—I’ve barely slept in the past three days trying to resolve this.

In the program files x86 directory, there is no folder labeled EAC available.

Only after executing a random install from an old easyanticheat.exe found in a forgotten game file, though this version lacks a "current game option", did I proceed. Update: I removed the EAC file and performed an integrity check on Pavlov, then ran it. Now a new folder appears in x86 "EasyAntiCheat_EOS l", but the application inside that folder remains inaccessible.

In the computer management window tab, navigate to services, verify that Easy Anti cheat is active, and ensure your antivirus isn't restricting access to EAC. Right-clicking the folder in PFx86 may allow access to EAC.exe; if available, open it for properties and confirm admin privileges are applied.

Please open the game in the EAC folder, navigate to the eac.exe file, right-click it and execute with administrator privileges, then proceed with the installation.

I did all that, but the eac.exe still won't open. After uninstalling the games and reinstalling them on my SSD running the OS, I can't manually launch the eac.exe anymore. It seems everything works perfectly now. Why isn't it functioning on the internal HDDs? I'm planning to reformat one of them and try downloading another game that uses EAC to test.

I've tried reinstalling it multiple times, but it often works eventually. I don't know why switching to an SSD helped. It might be related to a corrupted EAC file preventing progress on the hard drive.

I'm not entirely sure what I did or didn't do, but things seem to be improving. I downloaded Hunt Showdown to check on one of the new, quickly formatted HDDs, and it's working perfectly. It also lets me open its eac.exe. The only thing that comes to mind is that Pavlov doesn't open it. I'm planning a full non-quick format on another HDD and will download another EAC game to test it as well. Fingers crossed.
Also, thank you for taking the time to read my post and try to assist me—I really appreciate it.
