Early version of Roller Coaster Tycoon World release
SOO, I've been testing the RCTW early beta for about two hours. It looks pretty solid overall, but there are still plenty of issues that need fixing. There are numerous glitches and bugs, plus a lot of clipping problems. I’ll start with the most critical feature—the coaster editor. It’s prone to crashes and glitches, but it functions. I’ve created around 12 rides so far, each one intricate and compact. The coaster builder is more advanced than previous RCT games; it demands skill, careful planning, and patience. You can’t just press a button and expect the ride to move exactly where you want. You need to think through your moves carefully. A ride won’t handle a 90-degree turn at 100 mph—just use common sense when designing. The scenery is decent, but the trees look poor from a distance, and the pathways have awkward angles. Fences are broken, and benches sometimes malfunction. The path editor works fine, though it needs a grid option. People are retarded—they sometimes circle endlessly or walk high above the tracks, and occasionally they just ignore the roller coaster altogether. And their eyes... it’s a mess. The RAM usage is high; the game actually takes up 12GB, while its size is only 2GB. Overall, it’s not terrible—it’s buggy and crashes often due to errors. If they added a grid feature, better controls, and fixed the RAM issues, I’d be happy. Honestly, it could improve a lot from now on. *note, I’m a bit tipsy and have added, don’t judge Behemoth At Canada’s Wonderland, Made In Roller Coaster Tycoon World.*
It operates on your rig by processing data locally, ensuring faster performance and reduced dependency on external servers.
