i was just starting out with cs 1.x around the year 2000, using dial-up. i was on a de_dust server and it was my first time playing an fps game on pc. there was only one player, and someone asked how to sit down. it took me about five minutes to type the right words and press ctrl. my memory was stuck on cs_assault, and someone said "lol" while asking what it meant. the definition didn’t make sense to me—i’d rather have said "hahaha." if i’d been younger, i really wanted to dive into old internet and pc gaming experiences anyway. what was your first online gaming memory? (just for pc)

My computer broke apart the first time I played online games. My initial experience was with Halo CE on PC, enjoying multiplayer and sometimes still playing it today.

My initial online gaming was playing Quake 2 with my brother across the room. I got completely distracted... The next time was Runescape, and I was trying to locate him in the tutorial.
