The Hunt is now accessible on Steam in Early Access. It appears well-made and originates from Crytek. Many of their titles are strong. I understand the hesitation about spending $30 on something that might not come to fruition, but Crytek is a reputable publisher worth considering. What are your thoughts?

I've noticed many viewers watching it on Twitch during the closed beta period. It seems to be a strong game. I think it's worth the effort.

Remember never preorder things. Although imo early access is a little different. Sure, there is still the same risk that it will never get to what was promised, but even Valve says that you should (if you want to be safe) only buy things if your'e already satisfied with the level of content. Then you can't be disappointed if the developer quits tomorrow.

The game might stay available unless Crytek decides otherwise, but it could remain in that state forever.

It stays where it is now. There have been instances where games were taken off Steam, but they don’t allow new purchases anymore. If you already have it, you can still use it. The main issue comes when servers shut down, which removes the game entirely from Valve’s control.

I prefer not to preorder since my last experience with Andromeda was underwhelming. It doesn’t seem like a quick, flashy experience like PUBG, and it appears to offer stronger support. I wasn’t confident about the game if development halted. Buying a game from a lootbox isn’t my style—it doesn’t work for me. Thanks for the perspective!

Because of the competitive aspect, I believe you're right and I'll hold off. It might be wise to wait and observe how much cheating occurs before investing.

Hunt showdown is quite similar to Bloodborne and is one of the nearest relatives in the genre. I enjoy it.

I totally concur, except until the announcement of CyberPunk 2077

I've been enjoying this title since its release a few days ago. Some are considering purchasing it in its current state—seriously, the performance isn't great. On an i7 6700k with a 1080ti, I'm seeing 35-40 frames per second on a 1920x1080 screen with standard settings, VSync and other options off. It runs smoothly. There seem to be some hidden graphical settings you can tweak via console commands that help, but I haven't tried yet because adjusting them previously caused the game to crash. The servers are also problematic; they've limited access for many players, making it nearly impossible to join. I've managed to play a couple of matches recently after waiting over 15 minutes, but the first three always crashed or sent me back to the lobby. Playing with a friend worked well and was quite entertaining, even leading to victories. Until the final match, we collected points and earned rewards, but after reaching the end screen, a server error appeared, erasing our progress. The game only supports US and Europe servers—skip those if you're in Asia or Oceania. Overall, the gameplay and strategy are engaging, but the current server issues and performance problems make it difficult to enjoy. I'm hoping for improvements over time, but right now it feels like a frustrating experience.
