I've faced this problem since setting up the PC, and I'm not sure what's causing it anymore. I just moved from a 5900X build to a newer 9800X3D build, but the issue keeps happening. Are there specific drivers I'm using that might be the problem? Or is it something else entirely? It could be either an issue with the NVIDIA drivers not being updated or another problem that's making my fans unstable. I tried Fancontrol, but it doesn't work with the Corsair Commander Pro controller.
The issue could vary widely, so it's hard to choose the perfect fix. A fresh install of Windows updates and BIOS is recommended—this may be risky but ensures you're using the latest patches. Update all drivers for chipset, CPU, GPU, etc., if possible. Also consider removing unnecessary software to improve performance.
Have you checked your system performance right after turning on the computer? Search for any unusual high CPU or RAM consumption applications. Also, review the startup programs to see if anything unexpected is loading.
I also had to reorder Windows 11 Pro because updating motherboards wouldn’t confirm my license even though it was on my Microsoft account. Right now, the only concerns are ICue managing fans and RGB settings or outdated NVIDIA drivers since ICue stopped working in versions after 566 when I last checked. Updating the BIOS to the newest version seems necessary—I’m using a 2613 chip and just swapped to 3320 or 3216, which should be compatible. I’ll review that tomorrow. All other features outside the ICue/Windows Defender tray are disabled now.
Identified the problem: F.Lux causes the PC to stutter or freeze upon loading. Likely occurred after more frequent Windows 11 updates.
