The most likely explanation is that all dies are mixed together randomly during production, making it essentially a matter of luck when they’re placed on the assembly line. From a quality control perspective, this could be problematic, especially if you’re overclocking or adjusting timing settings. Even if it doesn’t affect you now, inconsistency between parts could cause issues later. I’d probably just swap them out and choose a different one if it matters.

Adjusting timings could help with Dominators, but since I mostly use Corsair and enjoy syncing lighting with ASUS boards and Wallpaper Engine, I’ll continue with Corsairs. I might have spoken too loudly. The serial code on the package likely refers to a bigger batch. The initial nine digits on the sticks align with the UPC label, followed by six more digits, then three identical digits on both sides, and the final three are fewer than 200 apart. This suggests a smaller batch size between the groups, making it more likely they use different chips. I’ll get another set today that should fit one of them. If it’s Samsung, I might be upset (though not really). I doubt Corsair or at least the Dominators use Samsung.
Corsair is famous for its memory products in the mind of collectors. I might consider purchasing a power supply from them, but not memory cards.

However, my Logitech Superlight outperforms any Corsair product I've tried. In the end, I ended up purchasing four Micron B-Die modules and will return the two Hynix units.

At 1440p gaming, performance differences between default CL18 and CL16 aren’t noticeable, and Cinebench improvements remain modest around 100-200 points. I’m likely to stick with the default CL18 going forward.
