I'm using a 13900k and a 4090 with a triple monitor configuration. My primary display is GSync, the other two are only GSync compatible. When playing games—whether in fullscreen, borderless windowed, or windowed mode—I notice all my PC applications maintain the same FPS as the game. For example, if the game runs at 175 fps, Firefox also stays at 175. This isn't too severe, but the issue arises when a game demands low FPS in the background, like Destiny 2, where you can't turn it off. After switching out of Destiny 2, every app now runs at just 30 FPS. I've verified this with ufotest. This behavior isn't limited to Destiny 2; it also occurred with World of Warcraft, but I was able to disable the low FPS setting in background mode. Unfortunately, that option isn't available for Destiny 2. If anyone knows a solution or has tips, please share—it's really annoying to play games at such a slow speed while watching videos on another monitor.
