I need to figure out if your new GPU is the problem or if another component is causing the issue. In short, you purchased a Gigabyte RTX3080 that worked for about a week before you went on vacation. When you shut down and powered off your PC, it stopped working until you returned. Now it’s happening again when you turn it back on. Previously, your GTX1080 was functioning perfectly. Task manager shows spikes showing 100% GPU usage along with other components like Wi-Fi, RAM, etc., even when the computer is idle and no apps are running. I attached photos of the card being properly seated in the PCIe slot—just enough to avoid damage but not too tight. You can check the alignment of the pins on the slots. Even after reinstalling the GPU and checking for sag (about 1/4" to 1/2" or 5mm-12mm), the problem persists. I’ve also tried reinstalling drivers without success. Here are your system details: -32GB Vengeance LPX 3600 DDR4 RAM at 2133MHz (previously ran hot due to CPU) -Ryzen 5 2600 -ROG Strix B450-F motherboard -Corsair RM850x power supply -Crucial MX500 M.2 drive for boot drive plus a 2TB hard drive. Process the order. The card isn’t secured correctly in the back, which risks harming both the card and the motherboard—potentially leading to a short circuit and serious damage.

I demonstrated the sag by hand to illustrate the measurement. I needed to add more information that I hadn’t included at first. My initial idea was RMA, but I planned to consult some community members beforehand in case I missed something.

This card is poor quality. I’m certain about it. Please arrange for a return as soon as possible; during the holiday season those items might sell out, and getting a replacement could be delayed further. Ask the seller first if you can get it replaced directly without sending it to the manufacturer.

I was worried about that. I purchased it from Newegg and had to return it for a replacement before, so I’m hoping this works out well. Appreciate your assistance!
