Hello! Your laptop has been acting up lately. The battery is dead and now it only draws power from the wall. When this happens, it becomes completely unresponsive until it restarts. After that it works again until it randomly repeats the issue. You mentioned it might be a driver problem, but I understand you're worried about costs—no worries, I can suggest some fixes. Just let me know if you need help with anything else. The GPU is a 1060 6G and temperatures seem normal, usually staying under 80°C even during stress. EventViewer doesn’t provide much detail, just reports the unexpected restart. Thanks!

You might want to start with that option. From the appearance, it seems like a hardware issue instead of a software one. Try booting into safe mode and observe if it crashes right away. Also, inspect for dust and verify if the fan is actually rotating.

I started by cleaning everything thoroughly and reapplying the paste while I was working... No assistance. The fans are spinning well—they're loud and move air effectively as expected. I’ll attempt safe mode to check, but it’s unpredictable, so there’s no certainty it will work soon.

It's been over 20 minutes with no clear answers. I don't have any information to share about what might be happening.

I’d first reinstall the drivers to check if the video issues continue. Does your laptop come with a built-in GPU or is it using the dedicated 1060?
